Today, I’ll be featured on WCHS Channel 8’s “Style Cents” segment from 5:30p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Eastern timezone. This marks my second time with the news station and I am ecstatic to say the least! We’ll be featuring deals and steals for those Black Friday marathon shoppers as well as appropriate attire and chosen handbags perfect for the shopping holiday.
Not local to this WV, OH, KY television station? You’re in luck because they have LIVE streaming here, and I will be sharing a video cut of the segment via my blog and Facebook as soon as it becomes available.
WCHS is producing better graphics than those below, but we’re really just about the deals anyway, right? I could go on and on about Black Friday and the different deals out there, but I chose to focus my research to tablets, TVs, cameras, vacuums, small appliances, and toys. This spreadsheet was a HUGE help to me when starting my research for the show and I am so thankful this coupon blogger took the time to make this amazing document. I’m sure it took several days, but I – as well as many others – are so appreciative! Instead of me trying to link up every single item below with the Black Friday store circular, visit this site to find your store and click on “Black Friday Ad.”
Let’s get started!
I could not believe that you could get a tablet for $29. Wow!
My Macbook is kind of on its last leg – the circular rainbow is becoming my friend – so I’ve been on the lookout for what I may want next. I’m not so sure that I’m as sold as I used to be on Apple products. We have a iPad Mini and it serves its purpose, but I’m really wanting a compact computer to take with me on-the-go. I’ve looked into the Microsoft Surface – shown on the commercial that features all the things the Apple computers can’t do – and I’m pretty impressed. While researching for Black Friday, I noticed that Best Buy was offering a special on the Surface, discounting it by $400. Before I committed to stand in line for hours, I went in and checked it out. While discussing the tablet turned computer, the Best Buy sales rep let me in on an astounding piece of information: Should you buy something at Best Buy this holiday season and the price go down between now and September 2015, you can bring your receipt back to the store and they’ll credit you the difference. Using the Surface 3 as an example: If I went into the store today and bought it at $800 + the keyboard price of $130 and then brought my receipt back after Black Friday, they would credit me $400 + whatever the difference was on the keyboard, if there was any. I could also try it out for an extended period of time and return it all together if I chose I didn’t like it. Their 2 week try-out period is extended significantly, but I’m just not sure by how long.
Once I relayed all of this to my mom, an avid Windows Office user, she turned me onto the HP Stream 7 tablet that runs Office 365 and allows you to load it on the tablet as well as another computer. Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon have it for $99 and I think I’m going that route.
Now I would stand in line for some of these deals!
I am not a TV guru and I did not put all the specs for HD, SmartTV, etc. on each listing, but if you go to the spreadsheet link above you can see the details there and then view the actual item being sold on the specific store’s Black Friday ad on www.BlackFriday.com.
Surprisingly, I will not be Black Thursday/Friday shopping if I can keep from it. I participated last year and was able to score my Nikon D5100 SLR camera bundle but have since switched to Canon products. I was able to score a sweet deal a few weeks ago that will keep me home, warm, and spending more time with my family.
If you’re in the market for a camera – EOS, SLR, or pocket-sized – this is the time to buy, I can assure you!
When Jimmy and I got married, we were blessed to have just enough gift cards for Kohl’s to purchase our dream vacuum, the Dyson DC30, with the help of a 30% off code, too. It has been a purchase that we’ve never regretted and we use it for E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! We clean out cars with it, all interior floors – wood, laminate, tile, carpet – and have even used it in our unfinished basement for sweeping up dead bugs that made our house a home for a few months. It’s industrial and we’ve never once worried about pushing it to the limit. If this one croaks, you better believe we’ll be taking advantage of a nearby sale because – in our family – we believe Dyson is the best!
Shark has been named as a wonderful vacuum as well, so be sure to visit Walmart on Black Thursday to get one for a reduced price of $180.
For small appliances, Target & Kohl’s are in the lead for the most reduced prices. You can get anything from a slow cooker, griddle, waffle maker, coffee maker, and blender, to even a panini maker at either of those locations for $7.99 to $9.99. See spreadsheet above for more details.
And last but not least, toys! This year the hype over Disney’s FROZEN is still going strong, and there are many Frozen-themed items up for grabs this Black Thursday/Friday. Visit Walmart & Toys R Us for the best deals on toys this shopping holiday.
