Jacket: I had to have it when I saw it here. // Faux Leather Peplum: Mine is from Rue 21 and found it in the spring for $4.00. Here’s a few similar styles here and here. // Skirt: Mine is from Gabes for $1.00, but is Hot Kiss brand. Here’s a similar style, and another, and another, and another. // Heels: Mine are old and were getting really scuffed up, so I bought these to replace them. // Handbag: Found mine at a yardsale for $1.00. Here’s a similar style in grey. // Necklace: Mine, found at Gabes for $4.00. Here’s a link to one similar.
When I originally began my closet transition posts, I had recently purchased this jacket. I fell in love with this piece and wondered how I could incorporate it into a versatile outfit. Prior to this post, I was pairing my Hot Kiss skirt with an orange, chiffon button-down peplum and patent leather belt around the empire waist. Once I saw my jacket and my $4.00 peplum from Rue 21, I knew I had found a match. They just married so well together!
In a previous post, I explored pink as one of the colors this fashion season. Move over emerald and royal blue, this is the year of pink! You could pair this jacket with just about anything! One of my favorite fashion bloggers paired this same jacket with jeans and cognac boots, a perfect look! I am always a fan of black and white, so I’m going to have fun pairing this jacket with all things black and white. When you begin to experiment with how to work various pieces into different seasons, you’ll be amazed at the additional wear your closet can provide!
